Connection, Healing & the Holidays

Presence with others in genuine connections brings in a sense of belonging and support, creating a nurturing environment where healing can occur.


The holiday season can often bring this warm loving connection to us. The holiday season offers a precious opportunity to pause, reflect, and refresh bonds with loved ones. This goes beyond the exchange of gifts. It is a time to tell stories and create new memories. We may go caroling, play games, share a meal, or participate in family and holiday traditions. These shared activities can bring us closer and create a sense of belonging.


Belonging comes with connection and is so important to our healing process. Connection creates compassion, empathy, and understanding between two or more individuals. This allows us to feel seen, heard, and valued, which affects our well-being. In this place, healing happens.


Connection with others is not the only way to connect for healing. Connection with nature and ourselves is important in our healing journey.


Connection with self is crucial for healing. With self-connection, we can cultivate awareness, self-care, and self-compassion. If we can find a connection with ourselves through the heart, we can start the unfolding of our truest selves. Creating a positive relationship with the self allows for deep healing.


When we heal, the world around us heals.


Being with others allows for us to see ourselves. When you see someone as beautiful, you are beautiful. When you see someone as kind, you are kind. Take in the reflections from those you find a connection with, see yourself, see the possibilities, and be free.
